Lee Bernard graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Art History and Art Practise.
She is a very versatile artist, using watercolor, oil and pastels in a variety of subjects.
Lee spent many years in South East Asia, Laos, Singapore and Thailand, where she studied with a Chinese Master learning the discipline of chinese painting. Later back in America she studied with a Hungarian artist learning the disciplines of classic European painting.
Most recently she has been studying with Mark Mehaffey, Karla O'Connor and other famous contemporary artists. Thus she has been influenced by the art of line and knows how the onlooker travels visually through a painting. Of course, never forgetting composition, color and light.
Lee's paintings hang in many private homes and corporations. She has won Best in Show and First Prize awards in South Florida and, in the beginning of her career, North Carolina.
